The team asks really good questions. Everyone on the team was great and really nice. My recruiter was the best, keeping me in the loop the whole time. I've been freelancing for over 15 years and wanted a place where I felt valued and supported, and Masterclass seemed like the right place.

I applied online, then had a quick chat with HR. After that was a standard interview. HR asked some really insightful questions. Then I had to complete an editing test. The creative brief for the test was way too vague, another one of those 'let's see how you think' type of things, which is a major red flag for me. I had to research and gather all the footage and music myself, which took way more time than the four-hour estimate they gave. It was a silly test that doesn't really prove anything. They did pay me for my time, which is good. I'm not against tests, but when they're vague and subjective like this, it just makes them seem disorganized. The onsite interview was standard.

I got an email and we scheduled a meeting for the next week. It was a phone call interview. We chatted for about half an hour, and the recruiter was really nice. At the start, we talked about why I'm in the US and what I really want to do career-wise.
- Can you describe your proficiency with Premiere CC?
