Behavioral Presentation

They were really thorough and professional throughout the whole thing. I got updates after every stage, and things moved pretty fast. It started with a phone screen, then an hour-long chat with the hiring manager, and after that, two more hour-long interviews with some senior leaders. Unfortunately, after the last round, they put the role on hold because of budget stuff, so no offer was made.

I went through a pretty long and tough interview process with Mastech for the Sr. Power BI Developer position. It involved three technical rounds and then a chat with HR. I actually passed all the stages, and I was upfront about my salary expectations and that I could start right away. But, even after all that, they didn't move forward with my application. They gave some vague reason about a mismatch, but honestly, I think they just went with someone who asked for less money. My advice is to be careful about spending time with Mastech. If they're really just looking for the cheapest option, they should just say so instead of making people go through multiple interviews. It feels really impersonal and disrespectful when they're not transparent and don't seem to value the effort candidates put in.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter's behavior was appalling; she reached out on LinkedIn and then bombarded me with calls and texts daily, disregarding my time and time zones, even texting on Sundays and calling late on Fridays. She even made comments about my physical appearance, calling me a "pretty girl." Despite this, I was still interested due to the client being a major tech company. The first client interview with the hiring manager went well, leading to a second interview with another manager. However, this second manager was rude, suggesting it would take me 3 months to learn their product. After that, the recruiter ghosted me, making it a very unprofessional and bizarre experience, especially coming from a developing country.

I interviewed with Digit, which is a large language model chatbot developed by Google AI. It's trained on a ton of text and code, and can generate text, translate languages, write creative stuff, and answer questions informatively. During the interview, I asked Digit a bunch of questions about what it can do, how it was developed, and its future plans. Digit gave thoughtful and complete answers to all my questions. It also showed off its ability to create different kinds of creative text, like poems, code, scripts, and music. I was really impressed by how smart Digit is and how well it communicates. I think Digit could totally change how we use computers.
