It was a really quick and easy process. They were kind and asked some tough questions to make sure I was a good fit for the role. They had me sit in a massage room and asked me about my background and work history. If they liked me, they said they'd call me back in a few days.

The interview was a traditional one. The GM talked a lot and didn't give me much space to answer. As opportunities came up, I talked about my accomplishments and skills, and how I was familiar with Massage Envy's operations and expectations. I was told I'd hear back in 4 days, but then we played phone tag for 1-2 weeks. I just got an email saying the DM changed the ASM position and suggested I apply for sales associate to work my way up. This was surprising and insulting, given my 5 years of sales management experience and 1 year of district experience. The bonus structure is worthwhile, operations are simple, and scheduling and expectations are adaptable.

It was a pretty straightforward interview, and I felt good talking to the manager about what the job involves. The questions weren't too tough, and everyone, including the staff and customers, was really nice.
