Senior Cyber Security Engineer
The interview process was clearly laid out, with three parts. First, a phone call with Shana to talk about my background and if it fits the job. Then, an in-person interview with the technical folks. I didn't make it to the final part with management, but it was cool to talk with the team earlier on.
- Can you define 'pass the hash'?
- Walk me through your incident response process.
- Tell me about changes you've made to rules in past IDS/IPS tools.
Systems Administrator
I was contacted on LinkedIn by Shana about this role and we scheduled a call. It was a pretty standard and quick interview where she described the company and the position, and I shared my background. I think it would be a great job, they work with cutting-edge technology and have solid contracts which makes the company seem stable. I haven't gotten an offer yet, the interview was just 5 hours ago.
- Could you walk me through your background and experience?
Unity Developer
The interview experience was alright, not too stressful. I had an in-person technical interview where they asked me about the dot product and some Unity math. They also inquired about my general experience and how it fits the role. It was a bit unusual that there weren't many women working there.
- Can you explain how to find the distance between two points within Unity?
- What is the dot product and how is it used in Unity?
- Can you describe some Unity math concepts?
3D Artist
After applying, I got an email to start a test right away. The test involved modeling a complex piping system with many parts in high quality. I spent a lot of time and effort on it, and after waiting for two weeks, HR emailed back to say the position was canceled. The whole thing was terrible, no calls or meetings beforehand, felt disrespectful. The unpaid test was too much work, felt like free labor.
- Could you model a piping system with a lot of components, providing textures and FBX files?
