First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Masergy.
Circuit Design Engineer
The HR interview went well, the recruiter was very nice. The team manager interview, however, did not go well. The manager was condescending and confusing, requiring frequent clarification. Early in the interview, the camera malfunctioned, which seemed to upset the manager. I felt rushed through the questions.
- The questions asked were not sufficient, and the manager seemed rushed and preoccupied.
Project Manager
The interview process spanned a few weeks and was conducted entirely over the phone. Initially, I got an email from the HR manager saying I was on the 'short list.' About a week later, the first 30-40 minute phone interview with the hiring manager (VP) happened. Because I was also in talks with another company and expecting an offer soon, Masergy's HR team moved pretty fast to set up a second interview. This one was with both the hiring manager (VP) and the Chief Operations Officer. They extended an offer within 24-48 hours. I was really happy with how smoothly the whole interview process went.

Implementation Manager
I initially applied online for another position via an employee referral. After resume reviews by the management team, I got a call from Masergy HR asking me if I could come in for an interview. About a week after that interview, Masergy HR called and informed me that while I did not receive the position I initially applied and interviewed for, they looked at my qualifications and stated that I was still well-qualified for another position (Implementation Manager) in the company. I accepted and went to that interview the following week. The interview was with the Director and another Implementation Manager. The interview went really well and was given a job offer that same day. The entire interview process was REALLY POSITIVE. I liked the fact that the company had an employee currently holding the same position I was applying for to also be present during the interview. I think that was a really logical and efficient choice that other companies should also implement in their interview process. I personally liked the fact that while I did not receive the position I initially applied/interviewed for, they (both the management and HR teams) found another position that was a better fit for me. I'm absolutely happy with my new position in the company! For those who are looking for employment at Masergy, rest assured that both Management and HR teams at Masergy work excellently to find positions for qualified candidates.

Software Engineer
I applied via LinkedIn. It started with a 20-30 minute phone interview, followed by an onsite interview. The onsite was very efficient, mostly involving conversations with team members and a final interview with the VP. The interviews focused on understanding my past work, expertise, and how I fit the role, with technical details discussed throughout. The whole process was quick and efficient, and I felt comfortable. Although I was initially unsure about accepting the offer, the professionalism and positive experiences with the team, manager, and higher management throughout the interview process convinced me to accept. I'm happy with that decision; it's a great place.
