So I started the interview with some general questions about my background and experience. They gave me some info about the job. But then it got weird, they kept asking about my spouse's job, which was military related. They wanted to know the branch, the base, if they were staff or a student there, and stuff like that. After all that, the manager said they didn't want someone who might move. Even though I knew the tech and patient stuff and had nursing experience, it seems like my spouse's job was the main reason they didn't hire me. I'd tell other military spouses to maybe look somewhere else.

The interview process was very straightforward. We all sat together at a table downstairs, and I felt comfortable being my true self. I was interviewing for roles in ortho and gen surgery. The questions were standard, like asking about how I handled a difficult clinical situation.
