First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Martha Stewart Living.
Intern
I talked with the General Manager first, then the department manager. I had a phone chat with the department manager who was super nice. They gave me extra time to think about the job offer even though I eventually turned it down.
- Can you tell me about your hobbies?
Intern
I had one phone interview that went really well, and they let me know a few days later that I got the job. It was cool because my interviewer had a similar background to mine, and I was super hyped to get the offer.
- All the questions were pretty standard and easy to answer.
Intern
The process was quite informal and not very structured. An HR person contacted me and set up a meeting for later that week. I then spoke with my potential manager. The conversation was very relaxed, and they didn't have many questions for me. It felt more like a tour, and since they didn't have much to say, I ended up doing most of the talking.
