Intern
It was a three-step process: HR, segment leader, and a leader who works closely with the CEO. The whole process took about three weeks to a month. The interviews were remote and focused on understanding my background and motivation. They might ask questions about the company.
- Tell me about Marsh.
- Tell me about your background.
Intern
First up was Hirevue and some games. You have a minute to prep and can re-do answers up to 3 times. Then there were some written questions about where you'd like to work and 5 verbal questions.
- Describe a situation where you had to assess several choices before making a significant decision.
- What are some challenging activities that occurred within a specific timeline?
- Explain your interest in risk management and Marsh.
Intern
So after I sent my CV in, first up was this AI interview thing where I had to answer some questions about my competencies. I also had to do two quick online quizzes – one about how I like to work and another one with some quick number and word questions. Then, I was invited to an online assessment centre. There, I did a group activity and a short presentation, then another individual presentation all about 'Why Marsh and Why Me'. On top of that, there was a written task and a chat about my competencies. Found out I got it a few weeks later. I liked that it wasn't too many steps, just the AI bit and the assessment centre. But, the assessment centre itself was a bit chaotic. We were waiting around for ages to do the next thing, and it felt like they didn't have enough people to manage everyone. Also, it would have been good to get more info about the internship itself, like what it'd actually involve, because everything we were told was pretty vague.
- What is your motivation for applying to Marsh?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
- What interests you about the insurance industry?
