First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Marsh Risk.
Financial Analyst
Had a couple of phone interviews, then went in for an in-person interview. Met with 3 people, some from my potential department and some from outside. There was also an Excel test, which was pretty straightforward if you're good with Excel.
- Can you give specific examples from your experience that support what's on your resume?
Financial Analyst
I went through 5 interviews over more than 5 weeks. It started with a HireVue with 8 questions, then an HR call where I had to briefly talk about my past work. After that, I did a Prove It! test for my Excel skills, which had 55 questions. Then I had an onsite interview in LA with the Sr. VP and MD, and another one in LA with a Financial Analyst. The last interview was a phone call with a Financial Analyst from NY, which felt like a waste of time since they weren't a decision-maker or from the location I applied to. I tried to follow up once but got no response. It seems they don't offer feedback.
- What is your approach to managing multiple deadlines simultaneously?
Financial Analyst
Applied online and a few weeks later HR contacted me for a phone interview. After that, they said they'd let me know if management wanted to meet. A week later, I got an invite for an in-person interview at the LA office, which lasted about an hour and went well. They mentioned I'd hear back in about 2 weeks for a second interview. I did hear back and spoke with two people in the second interview, which also went well. Everyone was friendly and open about the work, which was helpful since I knew the tasks. About two weeks after that, HR called with a job offer.
