The first interview was a chat with a friendly person who asked fit questions and gave me a market sizing problem. The second interviewer was really hostile from the start. We did some small talk, then a market sizing question, and then a weird consulting question about how I'd use a single page to answer a business problem.

Started with a recruiter phone screening, just basic fit questions. Got called pretty quickly to head to the Greenwich office for a 1.5-hour first-round interview. This round had two 1-on-1 interviews. The first interviewer talked about my resume, then hit me with a market sizing question. I had to defend my assumptions, but I managed to reframe my thinking. The second interviewer also started by asking about my resume, then threw two brainteasers at me. The first one was a bit unclear and took about 3 minutes to figure out. I couldn't crack the second one, and the interviewer's explanation for the answer was pretty weak, saying it was just random. Lastly, I got a finance-related pricing question about a company, which was a bit unusual for consulting.

The interview process included a phone call, followed by a first round with 1 HR person and 2 Consultants, and then a second round with 2 VPs. After the interviews, there was a lunch with consultants. The initial phone and HR interview focused on your background and interest in the firm. The subsequent interviews were mainly about background information, case studies, and Q&A. The team was very professional, friendly, and smart. This is a highly quantitative role, and they tend to hire people with engineering backgrounds.
