It was an easy interview process. First, I had an interview with HR and then with the reception manager. Part of the interview was in English and lasted 15 minutes or less. They asked if I knew how to use OPERA, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

Na etapa final, em entrevista diretamente com o gerente, ficou claro que qualquer qualidade ou habilidade, anteriormente comentada pelos outros entrevistadores, havia sido desconsiderada frente ao fato de eu ter uma filha pequena que, segundo o gerente, me tiraria a disponibilidade de trabalhar todos os turnos exigidos. Mesmo mediante explicações de como era a minha dinâmica familiar, e que a filha dependia integralmente do meu esposo, percebi o preconceito em relação ao trabalho feminino quando somos mães. A entrevista mudou o rumo após o incidente, pois o problema ficou claro no semblante de todas as pessoas envolvidas dentro da sala!

The HR team clearly lacks the technical and humanized approach to manage the department. My interview was pleasant. I presented my experiences and had the opportunity to ask about the company's current needs. At the end, I inquired about the next steps. The interviewer mentioned I passed the first phase with HR and the second phase would be with the reception manager. I waited for HR's contact to schedule a date. Noticing the delay, I followed up. I was told the manager's schedule was very busy due to high occupancy and I should wait longer. After over a month, I received a message stating, "Your approval in the selection process was not possible." This made me realize there might not be a clear procedure within HR, and perhaps the recruiter remembered my application and decided to send the rejection, despite having previously said I passed the first phase and was trying to schedule the next with the hiring manager. This showed a lack of respect for my time and expectations. Honestly, it's probably for the best, as if the entry point to the company is so disorganized and poorly managed, I can only imagine how employees are treated.
