The interview process was great. It started with a call with the managers, followed by various situational questions. Since I had prior experience at the company, I was familiar with the job responsibilities. The managers came across as friendly and professional. Overall, I found the interview experience enjoyable.

I had some trouble applying online due to a website error, but the head office was helpful and fixed it. Then, my scheduled online interview had no interviewer show up. After trying to reach the store with no luck, head office emailed them for me. The next day, the store contacted me for an immediate interview, which was inconvenient given my circumstances. Despite the awkward timing, I agreed for fear of losing the opportunity. The interview itself was pleasant with a friendly interviewer. I was told I'd hear back within a week, but it's been a month with no call. Store staff take my details but never call back. When I asked if no news meant I didn't get the job, they cited disorganization and said an offer was still possible. An email to the store also went unanswered. The lack of communication was stressful, despite the interview being okay.

So you might have to do a quick product pitch, or maybe suggest how the store could be better, or do a task like putting stock out. These are to see if you can solve problems, if you're a self-starter, and if you're focused on the customer. After that, you'll probably have a chat with the Operations Manager or Store Manager, either one-on-one or in a group. They'll want to know when you're free, why you want to work here, how you work in a team, how you communicate, and how you cope with pressure. You'll also get questions about what you'd do in certain situations, like if a customer was difficult or you had loads to do.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you share your experience and explain how you'd be successful in this position?
  • Could you describe your background and how you think you'll do well in the job?
