The interview process was really smooth and welcoming. First I met with the managing staff, they were super friendly. The interview was informative and the job description really caught my eye. Then I had a second interview which was a full day of observing and a really detailed explanation of the role and the opportunities for growth. Finally I met with the CEO and we just chatted about football and our backgrounds, getting to know each other. He was super inspirational and professional, and I could tell I'd learn a lot from him. I was so happy to get the job offer! I had a few other offers from marketing and sales jobs, but I'm really glad I chose Market Storm.

Initially, I was a bit intimidated seeing so many other applicants for the same role. But the first interview was really welcoming and exciting, lasting just 15 minutes. They asked some basic questions to gauge my fit for the company. Then, I moved on to the second round where corporate trainers provided really valuable hands-on lessons and experiences – it was seriously the most fun and educational interview I've ever had! Right after that, I had my third round interviews and met some super successful people in the business. After I answered some key questions about myself and the company, they offered me the job on the spot. I was thrilled to accept and have been learning and growing ever since.

Behavioral Case Presentation

So I had this interview for an Account Executive role, and the first chat was super quick, like under 5 minutes. Then they called me for a second interview, but it was NOTHING like they described! Seriously, stay away. The interviewer took me to a coffee shop nearby and asked me questions and had me do tasks that had zero to do with marketing. He was explaining his sales tactics, and it felt like he was using them on me to try and sell me the job. At points, I felt like he was trying to make me feel insecure so I'd try harder at these tasks. He mentioned he needed to call the CEO for a recommendation on my performance, and then mid-interview, he straight up said, "So far I feel very neutral about you." So unprofessional. Then he grabbed an Uber for us to go to a market so I could shadow him and watch him make sales on the street – it's a SALES JOB, not marketing! He ducked around a corner and came back yelling, "DID YOU SEE THAT? I MADE A SALE!" (pretty sure he just hid and came back to claim that). He then sat down and said he sent a recommendation and I made it to the next round, but 'barely.' I wanted to leave but was stranded. He then went over the pay, which is commission-only (not mentioned in the posting), and the hours were 8 AM to 7 PM, which I don't even know if that's legal for a commission-based job. I told him the job wasn't for me, and he got all nervous, trying to convince me to take it even after I said no. He said I had to go back downtown for the next stage and then asked if I'd split the Uber with him. Really? I already spent $20 on parking, and they provided no food or drink for an interview that lasted from 10 AM to 3 PM. As soon as I got to my car, I just left. Didn't even tell them. Don't waste your time, it's a scam and nothing like described. I'm embarrassed I even fell for it. You won't grow there.
