The interview process was pretty straightforward, although the District Manager who interviewed me has since left the company, so I'm not sure if it's still the same now. I was asked about my past experience and all the questions were relevant.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and then watched some company videos. They asked me if I was sure I wanted to apply for this role or decline. A recruiter called and told me about the hours, days, and scope of the job. They looked at my resume and thought it might be a good fit. Then, I had to do a short video using their web program, either on my phone or computer, to explain why I'd be great for the position. It felt like an audition, and I was hesitant at first because I'd never done that before, but you get unlimited practice until you're happy with your presentation. I practiced about 50 times! After the video, which made me super nervous, I got a call to schedule a chat with the district manager. We had a great conversation; she was really friendly, personable, and direct. She offered me the job soon after. The online onboarding was easy, automated, and smooth, which was good since it was my first remote job application.

I got an email that they were revoking the employment offer. I also received my credit report from the company that did my background check, and my criminal record status shows CLEAR, and I passed the drug test. I called the recruiter for an explanation, and he apologized for the miscommunication, saying the possible reason HR revoked the offer is because I'm not yet a US citizen. It's so disappointing. I told him I'm a green card holder/permanent resident of the USA. I feel discriminated.
