It was a short interview, basically a screen to check if I was normal and good with customers. The manager was nice, and the whole thing took about 20 minutes before they offered me the job.

The questions you get asked are all from a worksheet and they are super base-level. My interviewer was turned away from me the whole time 😭 There wasn't any questions about me there was just things like "why is good customer service important?"

You apply to Market Basket. If they like you and they are hiring, they'll give you a call. It helps if you know someone who works there. They will set up an interview where the front end manager will introduce themselves and ask some easy questions. They'll have you read their rules and policies and sign off on them. If you get an interview, it usually means you're hired. After the interview, you'll wait a bit for your time card. Then you'll be scheduled for training, which is usually 2-3 days for baggers and a bit longer for cashiers. During training, you'll work a register with an experienced employee who can teach you well. Once training is done, you'll work the register by yourself and officially be an employee.
