Product Designer
The interview process involved about 4 to 5 rounds, including a portfolio presentation and a panel interview. It was a bit of a drawn-out process, but the recruiter kept me in the loop and was upfront about things the whole way through. The difficulty varied, some rounds were moderate, others were tougher. I actually liked the questions they asked in the last round. Even though I appreciate them explaining why I didn't get the job, their reasoning didn't really add up and they couldn't really explain how they reached that decision.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Product Designer
I got reached out for this role and had a 1:1 with the Sr. Product Designer and within the next day, I had a second round for my portfolio presentation to present my 2 projects, 6 people attended the interview. After reaching out to them to thank them, send over some materials and questions I had- I NEVER heard from them again. Totally disrespectful of a candidate's time and effort. I would have hoped that someone had basic manners to let me know that I didn't get to the next round which is much better than being ghosted.
- Can you walk me through your design process?
Product Designer Intern
The interview process started with a 30 min chat with a Senior Designer where I had to quickly describe a project and answer some behavioral questions. Then, I had a 45 min portfolio presentation with 2 designers. I presented two projects and they asked questions after each, with the last 10 mins reserved for their general questions. Finally, there was a 40 min Values Assignment where I was asked behavioral and cultural fit questions related to their core values.
- What are some skills you want to get better at?
