The interview process involved about 4 to 5 rounds, including a portfolio presentation and a panel interview. It was a bit of a drawn-out process, but the recruiter kept me in the loop and was upfront about things the whole way through. The difficulty varied, some rounds were moderate, others were tougher. I actually liked the questions they asked in the last round. Even though I appreciate them explaining why I didn't get the job, their reasoning didn't really add up and they couldn't really explain how they reached that decision.

It was a pretty standard interview process. First, there was a call to screen me. Then I had to do a written assessment about communication styles. After that, there was an online assessment with some java and sql questions. The final round involved an interview with the hiring manager, a java debugging exercise, a system design question, and a values interview.

So there were a few rounds. First, a 30-min HR screen. Then, a 1-hour technical interview where I did pair programming with an engineer on a LeetCode-style problem. After that, a virtual onsite with two interviews: one 45-min values alignment interview and a 1-hour mobile fundamentals technical round. Lastly, a 30-min call with the hiring manager, which was all about behavioral questions. The recruiter was my main contact and was super communicative over email and phone. Everyone was nice and answered questions openly.

The interview process was quite long, starting on March 15th and involving four interviews. It kicked off with the hiring manager, then two marketing interviews. One of those was a panel, the other a one-on-one. The third interview was about values and included someone from another department. It was a pretty big time commitment, 3.5 hours in total. I kept asking about the timeline but got excuses like people being out of the office. What really got me was the feedback after the final interview. The recruiter seemed super positive, saying I was the first to finish the onsite and the team was excited. They said a decision would be made by mid-next week, but then it just kept dragging on with weekly check-ins and more delays. Clearly, they had a lot of candidates, since it took a whole month to get any feedback, and I felt like I was just being strung along. It would have been great to work for an organization supporting public safety, but I guess this wasn't the right fit.
