First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mark's.
Consultant
It was pretty good, felt like they had a plan and stuck to it. People were nice and direct when asking stuff. The first part took an hour, then another two hours for the second part.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
Sales Associate
So, back in 2019, I applied for a Sales Associate gig at Mark's in Burnaby, BC. The whole process was pretty quick and easy. I applied online, and then they emailed me for an in-person interview. I went in, and it was super short, like 15 minutes max, with the store manager. They asked me a couple of things to get a feel for my personality and future plans. Right after, they told me to do a background check, which felt like a good sign. Overall, it was a fast and to-the-point interview for a retail job.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What are your aspirations for the next five years?
Demand and Fulfillment Analyst
There were three rounds for this interview. First, I spoke with HR about my salary expectations, when I could join, and my previous work experience. Then, I had a discussion with the hiring manager about behavioral situations. Finally, I had a talk with the AVP.
- Tell me about a time you had to manage deadlines for several tasks at once.
- How did you manage multiple deadlines for tasks?
- Can you describe your experience handling multiple task deadlines?
Project Manager
I had 3 interviews. The first was with the recruiter, the second with HR. My manager was supposed to be the last one. My manager seemed like she hated her job and didn't care about my time. She started by asking what drew me to the job. I explained I was qualified because I've done it before at my current job, but she said that wasn't what she asked.
