The interview was conducted by a very nice person, but they left the room twice during the interview. While they were gone, I overheard employees gossiping, which seemed like a toxic environment. The place also appeared to be dirty and understaffed. Despite saying "yes", I don't think I will be accepting the position.

The interview started half an hour late and the interviewer came up to me and said this was his lunch. Which was false because he called to change the interview and said he would be interviewing me when his shift started. During the interview he kept sighing and glaring at me with a look of hate. I applied for morning shift and said I would be available 6am to 6pm to work. He said that for all employees it is mandatory for them to be available to work until the store closes for 5 days. Which did not make sense as I asked employees about availability and they said for morning shift do 6am to 4pm. Basically he did not want to hire me.

I applied online and they called about a week and a half later for an on-the-spot phone interview. I passed the first interview easily; the interviewer was comfortable, open, and relaxed. My advice is to smile and be yourself, and you'll do fine. They asked questions like: what are your grades, any clubs at school, what are you studying or majoring in, a time you gave good customer service, and your negatives. I had a second interview the same day. It was shorter, but this time with the manager of the whole store. He was more serious than the first interviewer and asked fewer questions, but it went well. I was offered a position for the store as a general clerk, instead of a cashier, which is fine with me since I accepted.
