Behavioral Presentation

The interview process at Marcus Evans was pretty disappointing. The recruiter was nice enough, but the whole thing was badly managed. Meetings weren't set up right, and there were a lot of communication issues. Then, the hiring manager started off by saying he had '9 candidates and lots of options,' which sounded pretty arrogant and like he wasn't really considering me. I went through two interview stages and then just got a generic rejection email with no real feedback. For a company that's global, I expected a much more professional and respectful experience as a candidate.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you walk me through your background?
  • The hiring manager spent the whole time explaining the job, which I thought was something the recruiter should have done.

This was a pretty simple interview. They seemed more interested in finding someone ambitious than someone with a lot of experience. They're looking for people who are comfortable stepping outside their comfort zone. They asked about personal and professional achievements and what I expect from the job.

  • Can you share a personal achievement that makes you proud?
  • Describe a professional accomplishment.
