Interview for the Los Angeles Refinery. It was all behavioral questions. No technical questions were asked, but it can be helpful to talk about your knowledge in your specific engineering field. They'll want to know if you'd be willing to relocate to other refineries, which are mostly out of state.

It was a nice and friendly process. They asked quite a few behavior questions and 1-2 questions related to your project. Just be yourself and show your personality. They will email or call you in 1-2 weeks. For me, it was 1 week after, one of the recruiters called me to make a verbal offer, and I got an online offer 1 day later.

The hiring process is pretty long and drawn out with not often not hearing anything from HR even through email. Unfortunately HR is not present full time at the facility. Overall there is 3 interviews, First is your written test, then a sit down interview with a 3-5 person interview, and last is a hands on test. It is a long process so do not be discouraged, the pay and Benefits are worth it. Also if you do get the job, they only seem to give you a weeks notice for your start date.
