Software Development Engineer
The interview process wasn't too bad. For preparation, focus on SQL and Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), especially string manipulations. Also, get familiar with basic cloud concepts and PowerShell. The technical round included an introduction, discussion about the roles and responsibilities based on the job description PDF, a project discussion, questions about React.js (advantages/disadvantages), HTTP vs HTTPS, authentication vs authorization, and cloud computing (definition, reasons for use, and types like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS with examples). SQL questions involved finding duplicate emails with counts from an employee table and identifying departments with over 1000 employees using employee and department tables. DSA questions covered removing duplicate characters from a string, comparing sorting algorithms, and the difference between arrays and linked lists. There was also a puzzle involving two buckets (4L and 5L) to measure 7L.
- Tell me about your understanding of the roles and responsibilities outlined in the job description PDF.
- Can you explain the ACID properties?
- What are the pros and cons of using React.js?
Software Engineer
There were 3 rounds and I cleared them all. The first was technical, the second was with the Manager asking basic and technical questions, and the third was with a Senior Manager. After the third round, it's been 10 days with no reply despite multiple emails. I'm left wondering if they'll respond. This is such a frustrating experience, companies are quick to remind you about interviews but ghost you when it comes to feedback. I don't know if I'll get a call back. I'm marking it as 'Did not get offer' because it's an unfortunate experience, and closure is important.
- Can you discuss your previous projects?
- Can you answer some questions about React code?
Software Engineer Intern
The interview process covered fundamental concepts at a fresher's level, including OOP, DBMS, OS, DSA, quantitative aptitude, and general aptitude. I believe it went well, and I'm hopeful about the results, which haven't been announced yet.
- What are the basic concepts of DSA, OOP, DBMS, OS, and aptitude relevant for a fresher?
