Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maples Group.
Intern
The interview process was pretty standard and professional. I felt pretty comfortable during the interview and all the questions seemed relevant to my CV. Overall, it was a good experience.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in corporate law?
Intern
I first connected with the talent acquisition team at my University and submitted my CV. About a week later, I was invited for an interview. It was pretty informal. The interview was conducted by two people from the division I'd be working in. They didn't ask any specific professional questions, but it was important to demonstrate that I could work under pressure and provide examples, show ambition, a strong interest in the sector, and have extensive knowledge of the company.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What are your organizational skills like?
- How do you handle pressure and challenges?
Intern
The process was pretty laid back. They just wanted to get a feel for your personality and why you wanted to join. No case studies or anything, just some straightforward questions about your career goals and what you're hoping to get out of the internship.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
