So, there were two rounds in the interview process. The first one was with HR, mostly to understand the role, my background, and some basic info. The second round was technical. Honestly, even though I didn't get selected, I thought the technical interview was pretty fair, not super hard. They asked stuff related to their project tech like React, Node, and SQL, and threw in a simple real-time challenge. I'd prepped mostly on .NET and C# because the job description mentioned them, so some of the tech questions weren't exactly what I prepared for. It was a good learning experience though, a good reminder to prep broadly for both the job description and what they're actually using.

There was only one round for this interview. It was mostly behavioural with a little bit of technical. They mainly asked if I knew certain technologies and one question about React. The interviews can be pretty random because it really depends on the team. I heard some people got asked LeetCode or OOP questions, but I didn't. Since it's a general posting, it's tough to know exactly what to expect.

So I had this interview with Manulife, right? Started with a call from HR to talk about salary and the role. Then, I went in person for an interview with the team lead and manager. They asked me some high-level architecture questions and typical stuff like career goals. After that, I had to do a coding challenge: build a small CRUD app and host it on the cloud, including the backend, frontend, and database. I submitted the app, but it took them a whole week just to acknowledge they got it. Then HR said I'd hear back soon, but I've heard absolutely nothing since. Honestly, it's super unprofessional, especially since I had to spend my own time and money on hosting for a full-stack app, and they ghosted me. I guess it's good I didn't get an offer because that place seems like a bureaucratic mess that doesn't value people.
