Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Manulife.
Intern
The interview process was super organized and clear. They told me about each step, and I got feedback quickly. The interviewers were pros, and the technical questions were tough but fair for the role.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What do you hope to get out of this?
Intern
The head of the department interviewed me. They asked about my career goals, previous internships, and extracurricular activities (CCAs). They also wanted to know what I hoped to gain from the internship and about any past projects I'd worked on. I think they were mostly trying to see if I was interested and if my skills were a good fit for what they needed.
- Which module in school do you like the most?
- What are your career interests?
- Can you share about your past internship experiences?
Intern
Incredible process, great interviewee. I think they are positively rebranding the image of wealth managers in Quebec, and I am excited to work for a company like them. Furthermore, they are giving serious competition to IB and Asset Man positions, because of how open they are to about applicant's profiles.
- In terms of staying current, how do you keep up with market trends and news?
- Could you simplify a complex financial product for a client who lacks financial expertise?
- What strategies do you employ for building client trust and fostering long-term relationships?
