First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Manulife.
Administrative Assistant
There were supposed to be two rounds of interviews, but I only had the first one. The first interview involved introducing myself, discussing my background, and highlighting my strengths and weaknesses. After that, there was a test. This test had 12 cards representing different areas like family, fortune, and so on. I had to rank them all by priority and then explain why I chose the top 6. Cantonese was required for this round.
- Tell me about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses.
Administrative Assistant
They will ask you to do the first round interview, will ask why you leave, why do you choose this job, why do you interested in this industry , some background information about this company, then there will be a second round interview.
- Why did you choose this job?
Executive Assistant
The manager was only interested in hiring sales people for his company. He didn't even read my CV and kept pushing me to take a sales role. I thought I was in the wrong interview, but he confirmed he had my CV and said they weren't hiring for the role I applied for, only for insurance sales positions.
- Are you interested in a career change?
