We had an initial chat with a supervising attorney, then a second interview with the managing partner. It was a pretty simple process overall. They asked about my experience and my desire to grow in the role. They seemed genuinely interested in finding the right person.

I got to the interview on time and waited 10 minutes to meet the Partner. Right when I sat down, he said he had a client call coming up in a few minutes. He didn't ask me anything about my skills or experience. He rushed me out in under 3 minutes and said he'd set up a time to meet with another partner. I think this might have been because I'm African-American and I felt really disrespected. I spent more time waiting than actually interviewing.

Sent in my resume for a job and got an email to set up an interview. Talked with the partner who I would've reported to. The partner was cool, pretty relaxed. They mentioned there would be another round of interviews after this one and asked me to keep them posted about any other offers I got, since they didn't want to lose out on hiring me. In the end, it wasn't the best fit because of the billable hours and how tough it seemed to get bonuses, which they explained during the interview.
