First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MANN+HUMMEL.
Administrative Paralegal
I applied on the company website. Got a call from a recruiter about four weeks later for a phone screening. Then, I had a video call on Teams with the General Counsel and Lead Counsel. The final round was in-person with four legal team members and the HR Manager. They let me know about their decision in about a week. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer because they said the other candidate had more direct experience, which was the deciding factor. Overall, the people I met were really nice, and the recruiter was great.
- What are some standard interview questions you've been asked in all three rounds?
Reporting Analyst
I got the job after applying on LinkedIn. My resume was shortlisted after a while. First, I completed a 1-hour Excel test that was quite simple, with 8 multiple-choice questions and 5 practical questions covering conditional formatting, pivot tables, and basic formulas. Following that, there were two interview rounds. The first round involved an introduction and a discussion about my past experience and projects. The interviewer was pleasant. The final interview was with the manager, which also went well. We talked about my past experience and my understanding of the current role based on the job description. The manager was also very friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't get selected. I was told my feedback was good, but they found someone with a better profile.

Chemist
The interview process involved some technical questions related to my chemistry background and a few questions probing my interest in a long-term commitment to the company. The technical portion focused on basic concepts and wasn't overly challenging. They were also keen on understanding my career aspirations and if I saw myself growing with the organization long-term. Overall, it was a straightforward and professional interview.

Project Manager
I've interviewed a lot of people over my 15+ years in project management, working with companies big and small. For a company this size, with such a great history and reputation, the interview process was surprisingly bad, maybe one of the worst I've experienced as both an interviewer and interviewee. There was a real lack of professionalism and respect. Things like scheduling issues, missed cues, being sent to the wrong place, problems with follow-up, unclear communication about the process, long waits for interviews to start, and promises about next steps that weren't kept. I could list more, but that should give you an idea. If they treat candidates like this during the hiring process, it makes me wonder how they treat their employees. Based on my experience, I'm very glad I'm not working there.
- Can you elaborate on fundamental project management concepts?
- What project management tools have you used?
- Describe how you would manage a project that's behind schedule.
