First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Manheim.
Mobile Vehicle Inspector
I got contacted by the recruiter through email first. We set up a quick phone chat. Then, just a couple days later, we were setting up a virtual chat with a manager. The day after that, I got an offer letter.
- What makes you a better candidate than the others applying?
Intern
I applied online through my college and then got a phone call to see if I was still interested. When I said yes, they asked some quick questions about the internship dates, if I could work in Atlanta, and my salary expectations. After that, I had another phone interview with HR, who recorded answers from me and others to send to the boss. My boss then interviewed me over the phone, and after that, I was hired. The boss was great to talk to, very relaxed but focused, and the phone interviews were enjoyable. The company has a good work vibe and nice people.
- Where do you get your motivation from?
- What are you most proud of?
Senior UX Visual Designer
Pretty fast after applying I got a 15 min call from the recruiter asking about the job and my resume. Then I had a 45 min phone interview with the hiring manager, who told me about his team and asked more questions about my experience and the programs I use. He seemed to really only want someone with auto industry experience. The whole vibe was kinda cold. At the end he said the recruiter would let me know about next steps but I never heard back from anyone.
- What would prompt you to leave your current role?
- Given that 'everyone thinks they are a designer' nowadays, how would you manage a situation where a stakeholder demands specific changes to your design?
Field Sales Representative
After submitting my resume, I heard back about a week later about a phone interview where they asked basic selling questions. About three weeks after that, I had a face-to-face interview with two upper management folks, which was an hour long and covered my career and various sales questions, emphasizing selling yourself and communication skills. Then, three more weeks went by before I had another face-to-face with a territory GM, again with detailed questions about my skills and experience. A week later, I got the job offer. The whole thing took about two months, and they're very thorough and particular. My advice is to know about the Manheim culture and what you're interviewing for.
- What's your favorite movie ever?
- Tell me about your greatest challenge and how you handled it.
