First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MangoApps.
Solution Engineer
There were 4 interviews in total. 3 of them were virtual and one was in-person at the office. They were very thorough regarding technical capabilities and customer experience. Everyone was very pleasant and social. They answered my questions and were willing to be transparent.
- Tell me about a time a customer demo did not go as planned.
AI/ML Engineer
I got through the first technical round okay, but then in the second technical round, the person who was supposed to interview me just wasn't there when we were supposed to talk. They left the call suddenly for something else, and I was just left waiting. It would be better if they could sort out the process a bit so that candidates' time isn't wasted like this.
- Can you describe a typical day for an ML Engineer?
- Which LLM frameworks are you familiar with?
- What do you understand by agents in LangChain?
Software Engineer
The interview complexity was mid level. The process included a Technical Round, an Assignment Round, an Assignment walkthrough plus Tech Round, a VP HR Round, and a VP Engineering Round. The first technical round had basic questions about Ruby and Rails. If you're prepared, you can pass this easily. For the assignment round, I had to build a ParkingSlot app. The reviewer was very knowledgeable and asked about live changes and my development approach. The HR team is friendly and approachable. I also talked with several tech leads and the VP of Engineering, who were helpful and friendly in conversation.
- Tell me about building a parking slot management system.
- What do you know about Callbacks and Filters?
- Can you explain the Device Gem?
Technical Support Specialist
I went through a standard initial screening call with one of the leads for the Issaquah part of the company. The interview was more laid-back and less technical than I had anticipated, and the interviewer was nice. They mentioned I would receive feedback within a week or two after they finished interviewing other candidates. However, it's been over a month, and it seems unlikely they'll inform me that I didn't advance. At least they didn't waste more of my time with another round before ghosting me.
- Can you give a general overview of your background and experience?
- Tell me about a challenging customer or situation you encountered at work and how you handled it.
