Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Social Media Executive
The interview process had three steps. It felt friendly and professional throughout, and I felt comfortable and respected by all interviewers. The questions focused on my experience and skills, making the process pleasant and engaging.
- Could you explain the fundamental concept of how social media operates?
Marketing Executive
I submitted my application on the MOHG jobs portal. About two months later, someone called me. My first interview was with the department manager, and then I had a second interview with the assistant director of HR.
- What is your motivation for working here?
- Tell me about a negative experience in a past role and how you addressed it.
- How would you approach taking on more work responsibilities?
Marketing
Had three interviews, they were tough but expected for this kind of job. The first two went great, but the last one wasn't as good. Didn't get picked, and that's fine, but it's messed up they didn't even let me know. I sent a thank you note right after and emailed the hiring manager two weeks later. Never heard back. Really bad for a company that says it's all about good service.
- What makes a client choose my hotel over a competing hotel just 5 minutes away?
