First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Intern
I had a screening call with HR to go over the job description, salary, and benefits. About two weeks later, I had an online interview with two people that lasted 30 minutes and was pretty chill. After that, I was given a take-home assignment due the next day. I got an offer right after.
- What motivates you to work here, and can you share an example of a project challenge you encountered and how you resolved it?
- Tell me about a challenge you faced during a project and how you handled it.
Intern
Domande prettamente conoscitive su di te, studi, perchè hai scelto l'azienda e la posizione, personalità e poi domande per testare il livello di inglese. Colloquio molto breve svolto da 3 recruiter contemporaneamente che mettono molta pressione.
- Tell me about yourself, what you are studying, why you chose the company and the position.
- Describe yourself in three words.
- What is your favorite book or movie? (in English)
Intern
It took about 1-2 weeks from resume submission to the phone interview. There were three interviews in total: one phone interview, one HR offline interview, and one supervisor offline interview. First, a simple self-introduction was asked. Then they asked "Why did you choose this department?". The phone interview was pretty simple, just checking English ability, and it was short, around five minutes.
- What made you decide on hotel management for your studies?
- What motivated your choice to apply to Mandarin Oriental?
- Could you explain your reasons for selecting this particular department?
