After submitting my CV and cover letter, I had a phone call with the recruiter a few days later. It was in Mandarin Chinese and was pretty straightforward, mostly asking about my availability and general situation. The only slightly challenging question was about what I believe is the most crucial quality for the role. Following the offer, there was a one-month unpaid probation period before I officially became staff.

It was a nice chat in a friendly vibe, and I learned quite a bit about the role. The interview was around 30 minutes, and the person interviewing me was super nice. It's good to have some knowledge of what the company does before you go in.
