The interview process included checking documents, ID, and work history. I was interviewed with a group of other people, though we all had different time slots. They used a new interview question system based on the STAR technique. This means you need to be able to discuss a specific situation/task and how you handled it to show you have the skills for the job. They really try to make the interview environment relaxed and friendly. Everyone else looked confident, but they were just as nervous as me inside!

The whole process took about 3 hours. There were 9 of us at the assessment centre in Stansted. We were explained how the day it's going to be. First we were divided into two groups and given an exercise, where we had to discuss among us some priorities. Before starting, we were asked to voluntarily stand up and talk about one occasion when we received good costumer service. For the group talk we were given 20 minutes. After this stage, if someone didn't perform well, they were sent home. Next it was the X-ray test, with 20 minutes revision if needed, otherwise 32 questions, most timed (20 seconds to answer it). The pass mark is 75%. If successful at the X-ray, the interview is next. It took about 10-15 minutes and we had some standard interview questions. The last stage was the medical. Also, we had to complete the CTC forms at the end.

Applied online, then had a quick telephone interview with a few general questions. Was asked to come to the assessment day. About 10 of us were in the group and taken to the computer lab. After a brief company intro, we did an x-ray test. We had 20 minutes to revise, then the test had 32 questions, with 20 seconds per question. Passed the test! Then handed in forms in the vetting room before a one to one interview. It was fine and the interviewer was friendly. Received an email the next day congratulating me on getting the job!
