First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Managed by Q.
Operations Manager
Worst interview process ever. It totally lacked structure, and everyone seemed clueless. Interviewers were unprepared. My first two interviews were over a month apart because nobody knew the next steps. I had to chase them multiple times via email after each interview to find out what was happening. They promised me I'd hear back by the end of the week at least 3-4 times, but I never did. When I followed up AGAIN, they said they were still processing. I'm still waiting, and it's been five weeks since they told me I'd be contacted in a few days. No common courtesy, not even an email saying they picked someone else. After 3 rounds, this whole thing was a complete waste of my time and energy, and it really changed how I feel about Managed by Q.
- What makes you interested in working for a company that focuses on cleaning services?
Supervisor
The interview was pretty straightforward, mostly asking standard questions. It felt like it could have gone better though. I found myself answering questions before they were fully asked. The part that threw me off was a short task where I had to look around the work area and point out anything dirty. It seemed odd to me because if people are actively working, I can't really get close enough to thoroughly check for cleanliness. I think it would make more sense to assess an empty room so I could give a proper evaluation of what needs attention.
- Can you describe your management style?
- Assess the current workspace and report any issues with cleanliness.
Operations Manager
The hiring process involved phone and in-person interviews. Q is very tactical about hiring, and everyone I spoke with was well-prepared and knowledgeable about the company and role. I felt at ease with everyone, which was refreshing. The questions were challenging and practical, indicating they hire the best. Overall, a great experience.
- Given a scenario like X, what actions would you take to resolve it?
