Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Malaysia Airlines.
Manager
So first, I was invited for an interview with the hiring manager. Then, I got some assignments. I had to complete the assignments and send them to the hiring manager. After that, I had to present the assignments.
- Questions about technical aspects.
- Questions about business aspects.
Management Trainee
Got a call from HR a few days after sending my CV. All emails and notices came at least a week before, so I had plenty of time to prep. There were 2 interview rounds. The first one had an interview with the VP of HR, then some psychometric tests and a business case study. The last round was a panel interview with 3-4 people, who were heads of departments at MAS.
- We were asked to do a role-play which was very interesting.
- Also, the business case study had nothing to do with the aviation industry.
Assistant Manager
The interview process was pretty neutral and the interviewer was nice. It felt like a two-way street, unlike some other interviews I've had. However, the response time for the next steps was slow, and I only found out the results a month later.
- Can you describe your previous experience and what your future aspirations are?
