Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
Marketing Intern
The interview process went well. I talked to two people in the marketing dept, the Director and another staff member who spoke with me in Spanish to test my skills. I highly recommend applying for internships here, as they are a good and basic start to understand the industry, the function, or apps like Adobe Photoshop.
- What made you consider this position?
- Why Make-A-Wish?
Marketing Intern
I applied online for the marketing internship and got an email within a week to schedule a phone interview. It had pretty standard questions. Then I got to schedule an in person interview right after the phone interview. It was very conversational. Seems to be a great work environment. Still waiting to hear back.
- Can you describe a situation that you found very challenging?
Marketing Intern
I interned at the Make-A-Wish Chapter in Sacramento for 4 months. Sarah (Marketing Coordinator) and Nichoel interviewed me. They asked me about myself, what I would like to learn, and if I had experience with web. It was very low key. Afterwards, Nichoel gave me a tour of the building and the wishing well.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- What's your availability?
- Do you have any experience with web and graphics?
