First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
Senior Manager
So, there were 5 interviews in total, even though they told me the 4th was the last one. I got called into the office for what I thought was just a final meet and greet, but surprise! It was actually the 5th interview, and I wasn't expecting it at all. The weirdest part was that the CEO asked me the exact same questions as in the 2nd interview. It felt like they completely forgot we'd already talked about it, which really threw me off because there was no heads-up. I guess they didn't really listen the first time around, or at least they didn't ask follow-up questions like "Can you clarify XYZ?"

Development Manager
It was a pretty easy process. I only made it to the second round, but the first call was with the manager in the office, and then from there, you would go and meet the team.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
Office Manager
I had a chat with a nice woman who seemed to like my answers and told me I might get a second interview. She said she'd be in touch. About a week later, she called me for a second interview with the chapter CEO. The CEO seemed pretty stressed and rude, like she was sizing me up right away. She kept laughing randomly and didn't really listen, even cutting me off. I got a bad vibe, and since I'm not like her, I figured I wouldn't get the job. Turns out I was right. I'm sure they hired someone else who looked like her, probably white. Seems like this company is cool with discrimination.
- Can you tell me about your greatest achievement?
- Describe the worst part of your job and how you dealt with it.
