I applied for a Media & Communications internship in the Mid-Atlantic. After I sent in my resume, they got back to me super fast and wanted to do a phone interview that same week. The person I talked to seemed really young and maybe not that experienced, like she'd only been there a few months. She struggled with some questions, giggled a lot, kept saying sorry, and had trouble thinking of things to ask. Every time I answered, she'd say "yaaahhhh, thats great! Ok so um....." and use "like" a lot. It felt pretty unprofessional, honestly. I thought I did pretty well answering her questions even though the interview was kind of casual. She said she'd let me know something within the week, but it's been over a month and I haven't heard back. I did hear from someone I know who works there that they hired someone for an intern spot just 4 days after my interview, so maybe that's why they didn't get back to me. But still, I would have expected some kind of response since they seemed interested. It was a really weird experience, especially for a well-known foundation.

For Purdue I have to complete a 40 hour a week internship. I had an interview with a Sr. Wish Specialist and she was super nice. We talked about how passionate we both were for this organization and what my role would entail. She asked me some common motivation questions about why I wanted the position and how my background could help me with my internship there.

It was a pretty simple and casual video interview on Zoom. I only had one interview with the person who would be my manager. They were really nice and I heard back about the internship offer and when I would start within two weeks. I'm not sure how other teams' interviews went, but my manager was great, so it makes sense that it was a smooth process.
