Content Moderator
We start with a quick 15-20 minute call to chat about your background and see if you're a good fit. Then, there's a technical part where you might do a coding challenge, write something, or a take-home project, depending on the job. After that, you'll meet with the hiring manager for 30-60 minutes to talk more about your experience and skills. If that goes well, you'll have another 30-60 minute chat with other team members to see how you'd fit in with us. For some roles, there's a final 30-60 minute interview with an executive. Finally, we'll do reference checks and then present the offer if everything checks out.
- What are some typical questions asked?
Social Media Content Moderator
The interviewer asked me general questions about myself and if I could handle working the job. I said yes and they told me they'd call me back when the job starts. They also mentioned that even if I'm qualified, someone else from the inside might get the job, which makes me wonder why bother with interviews if they'll just disregard your effort.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Are you open to working night shifts?
- Can you cope with the disturbing content you'll encounter as a content moderator?
Social Media Content Moderator
I applied on their website and got an email for assessments within a day. They were simple but really boring, testing English verbal and writing skills. Then I had another assessment for Hindi moderation, which took 2-3 hours. After two weeks, I got a call to schedule an interview where they asked normal questions. The next day or so, I got a call for an offer, confirming my information and asking about night shift availability (just say yes, they have a bidding process later).
- Tell me about yourself and why you are interested in this role.
- What are your motivations for seeking this position?
