I had an initial HR interview, and then went through 4 more interviews. Everything seemed to go really well, they even suggested an offer might be coming. But after the last interview, I heard nothing back. I tried reaching out a few times but got no response.

The interview process kicked off with a recruiter call. The HR person was friendly and polite, and asked a lot of questions, but they didn't seem relevant to the job or my qualifications. For example, they asked if I'd accept the offer if it was made, which is hard to say after only 10 minutes. They also asked about the manager's style and the team culture/skills fit, and salary. It felt strange to answer these before understanding the role's responsibilities and team dynamics. After that, there were six more Zoom interviews with various people. I wasn't told how they related to the role or their teams. The hiring manager seemed unenthusiastic and didn't share much about the role, just saying there's a lot to figure out. It was disappointing because while some interviews were good, it felt like there wasn't a clear strategy or project plan, and they didn't seem to know what they needed. Unfortunately, after all seven interview rounds, I just got an automated rejection email. HR didn't follow up at all after the first call. Even with that poor communication, I would have considered the job. I guess I should have just said yes right away without understanding the role.

Had a 30 min intro call with Matthew, the recruiter. Honestly, one of the best recruitment processes ever. Matt was super helpful, he laid out the entire interview process from the beginning to the end and kept me updated after each stage. He asked thoughtful questions and was really empathetic when sharing the outcomes. I took the job because it was amazing, and the company's awesomeness really starts with recruitment. Matt did an awesome job.
