& Process

Had a zoom call with the hiring manager that lasted 30 minutes. Then I had to go in person for the next round. I spoke with the manager again for another 30 minutes, and then with other team members for 30 minutes together.

It was a short process with only 2 steps: first an assessment, and then a video interview with the team, including the hiring manager. The team was super nice and easy to talk to. They kept it relaxed, we went over my resume, and talked about what they expect from the role and my own goals. I felt it went really well, we had a genuine laugh at the end. They asked for my references to send to HR, but then I got ghosted. I followed up with HR about a month after the interview, even though I figured I didn't get it, and they didn't reply for another month, two months after the final interview when I was supposed to hear back in 7-10 days. I even reached out to a team member to see if they could give me some feedback on how to improve, but no response. I get that people are busy and emails can get missed, but it's just basic courtesy to send a quick email about the final decision to everyone who made it that far.

It was a three-stage interview process. I started with a phone call from the recruiter, then I had an interview with my potential manager, and finally, I had an in-person interview with three team members.
