Coding

So basically the hr called me first, and then got a second interview with a manager. The manager gave me a basic code exercise which I solved and sent it over. After a few days, they told me my code didn't pass, even though all the code works very well. I asked them for feedback, and haven't heard anything since. Should've been more professional.

Technical Technical

It was a walk-in interview with a lot of crowd. this interview was for PL/SQL Developer. Initially, we had a pen and paper technical aptitude test with simple 15 questions (3 questions were technical with reasoning). They usually have an online desktop test, but I had pen and paper since their network was down. The desktop aptitude pattern is still the same. Once you clear the aptitude test, for which the cut-off is I suppose 10, you have either 1 or 2 technical rounds depending on your performance, then a final HR round. Where HR will discuss your aspirations, project details, and salary compensation. The technical interview is of normal difficulty. Someone with enough experience would clear it with ease.

Majesco visited our college for campus recruitment. Initially, they checked all our documents, and only those who met the criteria could proceed to the Aptitude Test, which included Quant, Logic, and Verbal sections. Then there was a technical interview where we had to write a basic program like the Fibonacci Series. They also asked questions on Java, its Collection API, SQL, JavaScript, and about our Projects. The HR round was a general conversation, but if your technical interview went well, they might ask a few technical questions during the HR round as well. Their pre-placement talk seemed a bit unprofessional, though.

  • Can you write a program to generate the Fibonacci Series from 1 to 100?
  • Could you explain what a HashMap is and why it's named that way?
  • What exactly is a Set?
