Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maire Tecnimont.
Process Engineer
After reviewing my CV from a university event, I had a phone call. They then asked me to come in for an in-person interview, but they didn't initially specify which position I was applying for.
- What is the correct position for the shutter of a pump's delivery valve during startup?
Process Engineer
The interview process was long and oral, with some personal questions too. There were some technical questions and discussions about contract terms. Make sure you're prepared on what the company does and what your role would entail. After applying online, there was an initial meeting followed by a technical interview.
- What is your mother's name?
- Be prepared about what they do and what you will have to do.
Process Engineer
I had an initial introductory interview with a Process Manager from the company to learn about the onboarding process and to outline the main tasks I would be doing in the future as a Process Engineer. The interview was mostly aimed at assessing my genuine interest in the position (there were no real technical questions, which will be present in the next, technical, interview).
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- Could you briefly describe your thesis project?
- In your opinion, where would be the best spot to install a temperature sensor at the top of a propane-propylene column?
