First I talked to HR, then I got a test to do, and after that I talked to engineers about it. Then I met with some higher ups. The test wasn't that hard. It was a good and smooth process overall.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview started with an HR call where they skipped the usual greetings and went straight to questions, which felt a bit off. For the second interview, I was told to download and use a mobile app. This interview was with a manager who seemed very driven and demanding. He asked about my experience with the app, and I discussed both its strengths and areas for improvement. I then proceeded to a 7-day coding challenge. I had read other reviews mentioning this challenge potentially being used as unpaid work, but I wanted to see for myself. I actually enjoyed the challenge and spent a good amount of time on it, adding extra features to showcase my skills. Despite feeling confident, I received a generic email stating they wouldn't move forward, with no constructive feedback. This made me feel like my effort was disregarded, and I questioned the ethics of the lengthy, domain-specific challenge, suspecting it might be a way to solicit free ideas. This aligns with other negative reviews about the company's hiring process, which they seem to address with empty apologies. I later learned from industry colleagues about ongoing internal issues at the company. In hindsight, I'm glad I wasn't hired and suggest the company improve its hiring process, make the coding challenge more reasonable and ethical, and treat candidates with more respect.
