Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MaineHealth.
Intern
The first step was a meeting with my future manager where they asked me basic behavioral questions and about my college coursework. After that, I had a panel interview with the whole team, about 8 people. They asked similar behavioral questions. It wasn't really structured or planned out, just different team members asking their own questions. There were no technical questions.
- Can you tell me about a recent project from school that's relevant to the company's field for this internship?
Intern
I had 2 rounds of interviews. First was a phone screen with my direct supervisor, then a video call with the supervisor and another team member. It was pretty relaxed and mostly behavioral, with a few questions about software knowledge. Communication was great and things moved fast.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
Intern
I reached out to MaineHealth myself, then applied online, and had interviews with different people. They gave me a decision pretty quickly. After being hired, I had to do some training that didn't seem relevant to my role, mostly for Maine Medical Center employees about patient interactions. The interview process itself was smooth, but dealing with HR after I was hired was a mess.
