It was pretty easy and straightforward. They asked some general questions. First, I spoke with HR over the phone. Then, I had an in-person interview. They offered me the job right then and there! I began my onboarding process about a week later.

After applying, I got an email from the Executive Office to set up an interview. I ended up scheduling it with the SVP of Strategic Initiatives. When I got there, they told me to wait in reception, and then the SVP called me into their office. The SVP was nice, and the interview went fast. They mentioned the team is really small, just two people, and mostly they wanted to explain the role since it's new. The team is the SVP and the person from the Executive Office who showed me to the office. It took about a month to hear back.

I got contacted for an interview via phone/email by a very pleasant person. I went through about 6-7 interviews with the HR team and felt like I was doing really well. A negative point was that when I asked about the salary range in the second interview, I was told they don't share that information early on and that I shouldn't ask in future interviews, which I feel is an outdated approach. There should be salary transparency. I went through 6-7 interviews without a salary answer, and after the 7th interview, I was ghosted. My emails for an update or feedback were ignored. The initial good interaction with the HR team was ruined by the lack of salary transparency and the fact that I was ghosted after weeks of interviews. I won't be applying here again.

I submitted my application via LinkedIn and someone from the team got in touch the very next day. We arranged a video call for a brief screening. Everything was going smoothly until they inquired about my salary expectations. I mentioned that a position like this should command $90k or more, and I shared that as my desired range. The interviewer then informed me that their maximum budget for this role is $85k, with the actual range being $75k-$85k. I explained that my flexibility would be contingent on the overall compensation package, but I would certainly require the upper end of their stated range. The call concluded with the interviewer promising to follow up the following week to let me know if I would be proceeding to the next stage. It's now been three weeks, and I haven't heard anything back. It's really not that difficult to simply provide an update, is it?
