The first step is a recruiter call to discuss your professional experience and for us to share details about the company and what we're looking for. We'll also talk about the technologies used here and how you might fit with them.
- Tell me about your past work experience.
- How do you feel about the tech stack we use here?
- How do you approach situation-based questions?
Account Manager
It was pretty casual. First, there was an initial screening with HR, then a one-on-one interview with the sales manager, and finally, a meeting with the GM. They asked basic questions about my work history and character.
- Describe your approach to handling a challenging client.
Consultant, Digital Solutions
The interview process started with an introductory meeting with a manager and someone in the role I applied for. Following this, a second meeting was scheduled. Initially, it was a good introductory meeting where both sides had enough opportunity to get to know each other quite informally. In the last part of the introduction, the conversation shifted to work culture and overtime. They repeatedly emphasized that they work until the job is done, but remained vague about the extent of overtime. A day later, in a phone call, it was indicated that overtime is part of the job and they doubted my work/private balance. After they again emphasized that the work simply must be completed, it was concluded that there was no match from either side.
- What am I looking for in my career?
- What are my goals for 2023?
- How do you feel about working until the job is done?
Consultant
I had 3 rounds of interviews. The first one was mainly about explaining the company and what Magnus is doing. Second interview was mostly about why I wanted to make the change and what I wanted to learn. Last interview was with senior management to see the fit with the firm and estimate whether the role would suit me. I did not get a case study but I heard from other consultants that they do get case studies sometimes. I was very happy with the interview process, as it didn't feel like an interrogation but rather like finding the true fit between employer and employee.
- Could you explain why you think this job would be a good fit for you?
