Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Magic Memories.
Photographer
I had a short 15 minute interview with a manager. They called my cell and set up an in person interview. It was pretty chill, and down to earth. I really liked the person who interviewed me. We ended up becoming friends.
- What makes you want to work for this company?

I went to a hiring fair where they showed how green screen editing works and let us use the camera equipment. Then, we met with a recruiter and a supervisor. The recruiter talked about camera settings and asked a question about adjusting f-stop to control brightness based on ISO and shutter speed. Then we discussed past jobs and what the company does, and they told us the starting pay.
- How would you change your f-stop to control brightness if your ISO is 200 and your shutter speed is 80?
- Tell me about your past job experience.
- What can you tell me about this company?
Photographer
The interview was pretty straightforward and to the point. The person who interviewed me was casual and tried not to make the environment too serious. However, it was very professional at the same time. During the interview, we discussed my college studies, future career goals, interest in the applied for position, and schedule/availability.
- What is your college major, and what drew you to this job?
