First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MAERSK.
Senior Project Manager
Had an interview that was a mix of online and in-person. It covered technical aspects and an HR discussion. Since the role requires it, we talked about IOT and Digitization work. The technical part focused on the industry you're interviewing for. The HR part involved personality and behavior analysis.
- Technicalities of IOT and Digitization were discussed.
Project Manager
It was a two-round interview. The first round was a general one, and the second round involved a business case that I had to prepare beforehand. For the business case, I was given data and background info to create a strategy and then discuss it in the interview. One of the interviewers would challenge my strategy, asking for justifications or explanations of my thought process.
- Tell me about your experience and how you're a good fit for this role.
- Could you develop a strategy given the provided data and background information?
- Would you be able to present and discuss the strategy you prepared?
Project Manager
I got a call from an executive search firm. Then I had 3 interviews over the course of a month. The first was with an HR Specialist, the second with the General Manager, and the last one with the Managing Director / President. The office itself was impressive, but unfortunately, I didn't get the job as they decided to go with someone they felt was a better fit.
- How would you influence senior management to adopt your proposals?
